Winnifred's Magic Rock

One lazy Sunday, Winnifred, the most popular animal at the zoo, awoke from her nap where she had fallen asleep after hours of bathing in the warm, tropical sun.

While she slept, she had wonderful dreams of children in colorful T-shirts coming to visit her at the zoo.  Their visits were the highlight of her day because she was the center of attention—the star!  They gathered around and pointed their cameras, clicking what seemed like thousands of pictures—pictures of her, surrounded by her beautiful rocks and her welcoming pond.  They stood around her cage for as long as their parents would let them, just peering in, amazed by Winnifred’s gigantic size and friendly smile.  They talked and giggled and just enjoyed her presence, while they sipped on cold colas and munched on their peanuts and popcorn.  The children always looked so happy and carefree that Winnifred would do anything to make them stay just a moment longer.
